Waffletechnology™ cleaning cards incorporate flexible, raised platforms on their top and bottom surfaces. These cleaning platforms are essentially spring-loaded, significantly increasing the pressure applied to the internal components as the card passes through the mechanism. Not only is cleaning pressure increased, but the platforms actually spring up into surface cavities to clean recessed sensors. Additionally, the leading and trailing surfaces of rounded optical lenses are effectively cleaned. Flat cards do not touch recessed sensors and, at best, only come into contact with the convex tip of a rounded optical lens. As the card is accepted into the mechanism and as it is dispensed by the mechanism, it is cleaning all surfaces.

Thermal Printers accumulate dirt, paper flash, adhesive residue from label stock as well as the pollutants in the environment. The high temperature of the print head will turn these accumulated particles into a burnt crust which causes imperfections in the print. These imperfections can cause barcode and optic scanners to misread the information. If not properly cared for, the print head will continue to burn more contaminates in a layer like fashion until it becomes a “dead head”. Thermal Printer Cleaning Cards featuring Waffletechnology were developed to clean print heads by using specialized waffles to safely remove these burnt on particles. The cleaning waffles also rotate the guide rollers ensuring that the maximum amount of contamination is removed. This card, when used as a consistent maintenance product, will keep your Thermal Printers performing as designed.

Checks Scanners accumulate dirt from the pollutants in the environment and by being handled. This dirt collects and clouds the optical lenses inside which are the most critical component of the scanner. These optics allow the imaged check to become a legal document for check clearing as stated in the Check 21 law. The ability of the scanner to properly create the image is why the optics are the most critical component of the scanner. Panini Waffletechnology Check Scanner Cleaning Cards were developed to clean the scanners optics of built up dirt and ink. In addition, it will also clean the magnetic heads and the transport roller mechanisms that allow the check to pass through the scanner. This card, when used as a consistent maintenance product, will keep your Panini Vision X® and My Vision X® Check Scanners performing as designed.

Wave Waffletechnology
Designed to gently but firmly roll along the magnetic heads. By adding a positive then negative pressure, the Wave Waffletechnology cleans the leading, top, and trailing edge of the magnetic head. The same feature reaches into the pathway of the reader where dirt builds up and migrates to the magnetic heads during ordinary use.
